Architecture students from KU win awards

Kansas University architecture and urban design students received Merit Awards in the AIA Kansas City Design Awards program in November.

KU associate professor Nils Gore and assistant professor Rob Corser led a team of students who designed a community tool shed and a garden shade structure for residents of New Orleans’ Seventh Ward.

Area students involved in the project included Aric Naeger, of Lawrence, Walker Douglas, of Lawrence, and April Young, of Baldwin City.
