Meeting aimed at aiding overseas adoption

A meeting later this month in Topeka will provide information for families interested in adopting a child from overseas.

The “How to Adopt” meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 26 at Second Presbyterian Church of Topeka, 210 N.W. Menninger Road.

The meeting is being organized by Holt International, the largest international adoption agency in the U.S. In particular, the meeting will provide information about adopting a child from China, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Korea, Mongolia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Social workers and families who already have adopted a child will be on hand to answer questions.
