Freelance writers Susan Kraus and Beth Reiber, Lawrence, recently returned from the national convention of the Society of American Travel Writers, conducted in Santiago, Chile.

Kraus and Reiber attended workshops on photography, research, marketing and media convergence as well as participating in post-convention travel to other parts of Chile.

Reiber is the author of Frommer’s Japan, Frommer’s Tokyo, and Frommer’s Hong Kong, and is a contributor to Frommer’s USA and Europe by Rail.

Kraus has written widely on domestic travel, with a Midwest focus, in columns, articles, and the book “A Game Day Guide to Towns of the Big 12.”
