Coach Harris says: "We will be very strong at every weight, with several who have proven state-level success. We have a great senior class and a lot of kids who have waited their turn to be in the varsity lineup, and I think they are ready."

Coach Jones says: "We will be very young with only three juniors and no seniors."

Coach Keal says: "The kids have been working very hard to improve their positioning and technique. If they continue to improve these areas, we will open our opportunities to be successful on the mat."

Coach Johnston says: "We have a good returning group and some good young wrestlers. One of our goals is to break the school record and send at least four to state."

Santa Fe Trail Chargers

Coach Goebel says: "We have a great freshman class with 15 wrestlers, and also have a young team with varsity experience. Also, we have four seniors that should provide leadership in helping the team develop as the season goes."

Wellsville Eagles

Head coach: Paul Steeby, 12th season

2005-06 postseason: Finished tied for 24th at Class 3-2-1A state tournament

Key returning wrestlers: Five returning lettermen

Coach Steeby says: "We have a young team this year with only one senior and one junior. We should be able to fill 11 of the 14 weight classes."
