Elwood Bishop Seabury's volleyball season season got off to a quick start Tuesday. The Seahawks swept Kansas School for the Deaf, 25-17, 25-18, and Elwood, 25-20, 25-15.
Molly Thurman led the way offensively with 18 kills and eight service aces in the two matches.
Seabury coach Craig Friedrichsen said his two setters, Bria Phipps and Lane Frizell, did "a terrific' job."
"It was the first start at setter for both of them, and they did a great job putting the ball up in front of our hitters."
Seabury (2-0) will play Tuesday at De Soto.
