Twins, Reyes agree on two-year extension
Minneapolis ? Reliever Dennys Reyes and the Minnesota Twins agreed Thursday to a $2 million, two-year contract extension through the 2008 season.
Sent to Triple-A at the beginning of the season to get better at holding runners at first, Reyes was recalled from Rochester on April 30 and has solidified a bullpen that leads the majors with a 3.01 earned-run average.
He gets $1 million annually in the extension. He is making $550,000 this year and can earn $50,000 in performance bonuses.
