A slight mist hung over a procession of Kansas University faculty members and administrators as they marched toward Allen Fieldhouse for the 116th opening university convocation. The event also marked the inauguration of the schools’ 14th chancellor, Gene Budig, recently the president of West Virginia University and earlier the head at Illinois State.
