Drainage easement on today’s agenda

A public hearing on whether to vacate a drainage easement is scheduled during today’s Douglas County Commission meeting.

Property owners David and Sheryl Blevins want to relocate a portion of the drainage easement on their property at East 1326 Road a half-mile south of North 1100 Road, in Oak Grove Estates.

The Blevinses want the easement moved to their north property line. The Douglas County Public Works Department determined there would be no significant effect on drainage in the area.

After the hearing, commissioners will decide whether to issue an order vacating the easement.

Commissioners will meet at 6:35 p.m. in the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.
