The driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser traveling west on 13th Street hit a Toyota Corolla heading south on Tennessee Street on Friday. The direction of the car that was hit was incorrect in an article Saturday.

¢ In a Tuesday story about a manhunt for a suspect in the slayings of a hospital guard and a sheriff’s deputy in Blacksburg, Va., The Associated Press reported erroneously that the suspect was an escaped convict.

The suspect, William Morva, 24, is not a convict. He was jailed awaiting trial on an attempted robbery charge when he escaped, authorities said.
