Man found innocent in death of Moscow farmer

? A Hugoton man was acquitted in the death last year of a Moscow farmer.

Lance Parker, 31, had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Scott Young, 46, who died in October after the two men had an altercation outside a Hugoton bar.

“I feel great,” Parker said after the verdict was read Wednesday after more than a day of testimony. “I’ll find a job and get on with my life.”

Parker never testified, but several friends testified in Stevens County District Court that Parker told them he slapped Young in self-defense after the older man became aggressive.

Young fell after being hit, cracking his skull, which led to his death.
