A 23-year-old Topeka woman was formally charged with the slaying in Douglas County of another Topeka woman. After the arraignment of Gwyndolyn McNair, Dist. Atty. Mike Malone said “this case is not wrapped up with the charges here this afternoon. There is a lot left to investigate.” The victim of the fatal shooting was Terry L. Brown, 25, found near the entrance to a farm field about six miles northwest of Lawrence. McNair was also charged with one count of aggravated robbery in the case. Malone declined to elaborate on other details in the case.
