KU tennis falls in Big 12 semifinals

? The Kansas University women’s tennis team couldn’t make it two straight victories at this year’s Big 12 Championships, falling 4-0 against top-seeded Baylor in Friday’s quarterfinals.

The Bears, ranked fifth in the nation, won the first four singles matches to build an insurmountable lead and eliminate the eighth-seeded Jayhawks.

KU (14-11) must now await word on any additional team or individual postseason berths. The announcement of the NCAA team tournament field will take place Sunday night.
