Charlton Manley announces promotions for two employees in Lawrence: Duane Becker to chief operating officer and Marlene Brockway to vice president and insurance operations manager.

Becker, who had been a vice president, began his insurance career almost 30 years ago with Kansas Farm Bureau Insurance. He joined Charlton Manley in 1998 as a manager for personal lines and small-commercial lines.

Brockway has worked for independent insurance agencies for 30 years. She sold her own agency in Iowa and moved to the Kansas City area in 1994. After working with two agencies and a national broker, she joined Charlton Manley in 2000.
