Lawrence artists’ works included in exhibit

Two Lawrence residents have their artwork featured as part of a student art show at Washburn University. A photograph by Jody Baumgartner and a glass and fiber piece and a kiln-formed glass/copper piece, both by Mary McCoy, are three pieces included in the exhibit. The photograph, “Smoke,” and the glass and fiber piece, “Buoyancy,” are part of the juried exhibition. McCoy’s kiln-formed glass/copper piece, “Nautilus,” is in the invitational exhibit.

Due to renovation of the Mulvane Art Museum, the show will be in two locations. Two-dimensional juried works will be shown through May 8 in the lobby of the Andrew J. and Georgia Neese Gray Theatre. All three-dimensional and invitational two-dimensional work will be displayed until Friday in the gallery of the art building.

Admission is free. For more information, call (785) 670-1124.
