This afternoon’s ninth-grade junior high track meet at West Junior High has been canceled because of the weather, school officials announced today.

The meet, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. today, has been canceled because of current conditions and the forecast of severe thunderstorms likely for this afternoon, said Kathy Branson, West’s athletic director.

Branson said the meet will not be rescheduled.
