KU rowers compete at Minnesota races

St. Paul, Minn. Kansas University’s rowing squad won one of five races Saturday. The Jayhawks beat Minnesota in the second novice eight race, but lost their other four against the Gophers and Boston University. KU’s winning boat was made of coxswain Ashton Hiebert, Kelly Stromberg, Allison Watkins, Brittany Katz, Ashley Hughes, Becca Labat, Allison Clark, Kim Hughes and Callie Owen.
The Jayhawks will play host Sunday to the Big 12 Invitational in Kansas City, Kan.
