If you enjoy good music and need a haircut, mark Sunday on your calendar. “Features,” a benefit concert for the Douglas County AIDS Project, will be presented by Kansas University theater students and Headmasters Salon at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Inge Theatre in Murphy Hall.

Students directed by John Staniunas, professor of theater and film, will perform a musical revue of songs built around the theme “A Day at the Salon,” while modeling hairstyles and make-up created by Headmasters stylists.

Staniunas’ musical theater class always performs a showcase to conclude the semester, he said, and this spring he decided to add a new concept to the showcase.

The six-part program includes such songs as “It’s a Busy World Out There,” “Relax,” “You’ve Got Possibilities,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “A Wonderful Guy,” “Ooh! My Feet!,” “I Met a Girl,” “Talk to the Animals,” “When I’m Not Near the Girl I Love,” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out-a My Hair.” Also “Hair,” “Put on a Happy Face,” “Funny Face,” “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?,” “I’m Lovely,” “When You Got It Flaunt It,” and “Gorgeous.”
