Ottawa University hires new president

April 22, 2006

Ottawa University has hired Fred Snow as its new president.

For the past 10 years, Snow has worked at Norwich University in Vermont, including as vice president, dean of online graduate programs and director of the MBA program.

"We will now leverage the past successes into a significant strengthening, improvement and expansion of this organization," Snow said. "I am pleased to be a part of this hard-working and dedicated team."

Snow will take his new office on July 1. He and his wife, Gloria, will move to Ottawa with their daughter, Lacie, who intends to enroll at the university in the fall. Their son, Brad, will remain at Norwich, where he is a sophomore communications major.

Snow replaces John Neal, who left in 2005 to become president of Maryville University in St. Louis.
