Overland Park ? The Free State High boys tennis team won five of six singles matches and swept the three doubles contests to earn an 8-1 victory Thursday against Shawnee Mission West.

Keith Pipkin and Charlie Moffet teamed for the biggest rout of the day, earning an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. The Firebirds only dropped eight total games in three pro-set doubles matches.

Moffet also had the most dominant singles win, picking up an 8-2 victory in the No. 2 position.

Free State will travel Saturday to Junction City.
