Kansas Heritage editor earns honor
Lawrence resident Susan Novak, managing editor of Kansas Heritage, received the 2006 Kansas Communicator of Achievement Award from Kansas Professional Communicators.
Judging was based on professional achievement, community service, and service to the National Federation of Press Women.
Novak will compete against other state winners for the national title in September at the federation’s annual meeting in Denver.
Novak joined the publications department of the Kansas State Historical Society in 1993.
