Richard Friesner was the top Lawrence finisher in Monday’s Boston Marathon, placing at No. 712 after finishing the 26.2-mile jaunt through the city on Patriots Day in 2:56.20.

Scott McVey was the second-best city placer, running the 3,184th-best time. Following McVey from Lawrence was Scott Forkenbrock (4,441), Jack Hope (5,922), Jeffrey Sigler (9,760) and John Reed (10,951).

Jennifer West was the best city women’s runner at 4,443rd place. Erika Nilles-Plumlee (11,706), Molly Wood (16,582) and Denise Severn (16,695) also finished.
