What he did: Pipkin finished a combined 7-0 in singles and doubles play for the Firebirds. He earned points in both disciplines Monday against Lawrence High, won three singles matches in Tuesday’s quad meet, and won key points in singles and doubles Wednesday against Blue Valley.

Brooke Sutherland – Seabury, Soph.

What she did: Sutherland hasn’t let the absence of a girls tennis team at Seabury hinder her game. One of three girls in the Seahawks’ lineup, she earned an 8-4 victory Thursday over Kansas City (Mo.) Barstow’s Mark Kulick at No. 1 singles, helping Seabury to a 5-4 triumph.
