Eleven city runners in Boston Marathon

Eleven runners who list Lawrence as their residence are entered in Monday’s 110th edition of the Boston Marathon.

Lawrence also was represented by 11 runners last year, but this year’s city field has only one repeater in 57-year-old Jack Hope, who toured the 26-plus miles in 2005 in a little more than four hours.

The other Lawrence entrants are Nat Collins, Scott Forkenbrock, Richard Friesner, Scott McVey, Erika Nilles-Plumlee, John Reed, Denise Severn, Jeffrey Sigler, Jennifer West and Molly Wood. Collins, 23, is the youngest; Reed, 65, is the oldest.

To qualify for the Boston Marathon, runners must meet a designated time standard that corresponds to their age group.
