Chicago Board of Trade
Soybean futures retreated Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while grain futures finished mostly lower. Wheat for May delivery fell 7 cents to $3.60 1/2 a bushel; May corn fell 5 cents to $2.37 a bushel; May oats rose 1/2 cent to $1.71 3/4 a bushel, and May soybeans fell 2 cents to $5.60 1/2 a bushel. Beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. June live cattle rose .70 cent to 75.65 cents a pound; May feeder cattle rose .72 cent to $1.0165 a pound; May lean hogs rose 1.15 cent to 63.50 cents a pound; May pork bellies rose .52 cent to 80.75 cents a pound.
