10U KVSA falls short of victory

Game Summary

1st Half

KVSA 10U Club Select struck first in the 10U division game against the BV Stars Cyclones on Saturday in the Kaw Valley Cup Tournament at Youth Sports Inc. Forward Duncan Murray snuck a shot into the bottom corner of the net putting Club Select up one goal. The Cyclones countered with two goals of their own, giving them a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

2nd Half

The Cyclones continued their hot streak in the second period of play. After netting one goal in the first half, forward Troy Burgett put two more balls past the Club Select goalkeeper to secure himself a hat trick for the game. Try as they might, Club Select couldn’t get past the Cyclones goalie the rest of the game. A couple opportunities from Murray and teammate Alex Trent either went wide or were snagged by the goalkeeper. The BV Stars Cyclones wrapped up the 5-1 victory with a fair amount of ease.
