Graphic designer to speak at KU

Designer Willi Kunz will give a public lecture at Kansas University as part of the Hallmark Design Symposium Series.

Kunzs’ talk will be at 6 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at the Spencer Museum of Art, 1301 Miss.

Kunz, an American citizen, was born and educated in Switzerland. He received his postgraduate degree in typographic design from Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich,and he taught typographic design at the School of Design in Basel, Switzerland. He moved to the U.S. in 1970 and taught typographic design at Ohio State University. He has since started his own company, Willi Kunz Associates, located in New York. Kunz’s firm specializes in print communications, visual identity and architectural graphics.

The free event is open to the public.
