A Jefferson County fire department plans a “live burn” training exercise Saturday morning meant to replicate a real house fire.

The exercise will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Spirit Lake Retreat Center, 12639 Horse Creek Drive, and will be conducted by the Kentucky Township fire department. Firefighters from the city of Perry as well as from Kentucky, Rural and Fairview townships will take part.
