While Kansas University faculty members were losing the battle for higher salary increases via the Kansas Legislature, some on the faculty said those who were running the university appeared to be getting more than their share of the pot. Of the 16 key administrative posts at KU, only four were below the average for administrators at schools with enrollments of 20,000 or more students. Faculty members here said they felt they should be getting a more “comparable share of the pie.”
