The city commission was to delay for four more weeks the hiring of a consultant to produce a storm water drainage plan. The move came after local builders questioned the role of a commission candidate in the development of the consultant’s contract. Members of the building industry objected to the role of Nancy Shontz, a member of a local environment group and a candidate in the April 7 general election, in helping to work out details of a contract.
