Tech stymies KU

? Senior middle blocker Josi Lima had 11 kills to become Kansas University’s all-time career leader, but the Jayhawks had little else to celebrate after a 3-0 loss Wednesday to Texas Tech at United Spirit Arena.

Lima, who also had six digs, broke Sarah Rome’s KU mark of 1,306. Lima has 1,308 career kills.

Senior Paula Caten led KU with 15 kills, and junior Jana Correa added eight kills and 10 digs.

Junior libero Jamie Mathewson posted 13 digs to lead the KU defense, and sophomore Emily Brown added 10 digs and four total blocks. Senior Andi Rozum ran the offense with 37 assists.

The Jayhawks (11-3, 3-2) will travel Saturday for an 8 p.m. match at Colorado (5-4, 1-3).
