Clarion Synthesis plans performance on campus

Kansas University’s music and dance department welcomes visiting artist duo Clarion Synthesis to Lawrence for a performance.

The show will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Murphy Hall’s Swarthout Recital Hall. Admission is free.

D. Gause-Snelson, a conductor, pianist and electronic keyboardist, and clarinetist F. Gerard Errante make up Clarion Synthesis, whose concerts showcase music created from a variety of styles and instruments and feature varied combinations of clarinets, keyboard and other electronics and visuals.

The concert will feature Errante performing on clarinet and Gause-Snelson playing clarinet and piano. The duo will perform such pieces as Eric Mandat’s “So What Elsa’s New” and Paul Seitz’s “To Juggle.”
