Lawrencian flown to hospital after wreck
A Lawrence man was flown by air ambulance to a Kansas City hospital Monday morning after a one-vehicle wreck on Douglas County Road 1055 north of Baldwin.
Brent McClintick, 31, was driving north about 2:50 a.m. when he lost control of his Dodge pickup truck and it crashed into a ditch on the east side of the road, said Lt. Kari Wempe, a spokeswoman for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Wempe said McClintick was taken to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. A condition update wasn’t available Monday.
The sheriff’s office is investigating whether alcohol was a factor, Wempe said.
