Injury Accidents

¢ A Eudora woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Friday after a two-car accident in the 600 block of West 23rd Street.

Stephanie Silvers, Eudora, attempted to make a left turn in her Buick Regal as she exited the KFC parking lot. At the same time, a 1997 Nissan, driven by Ashley McGlinn, Lawrence, was westbound in the turning lane on 23rd Street, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Paul Fellers.

The two vehicles then collided on 23rd Street, Fellers said.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical transported Silvers to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was later treated and released, a hospital official said. Fellers said the accident report showed no other injuries.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A man reported Tuesday a theft of $2,833 worth of items, including a Sony PlayStation, several DVDs and other items from the 2800 block of Winterbrook Circle between 8 a.m. and 1:10 p.m.

¢ A man reported on Thursday a stolen 1993 GMC Pickup valued at $3,000 from the 2500 block of Jasu Drive. The man said the truck was stolen between 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, according to the police report.
