Lawrence Police said Thursday that in the past 24 hours they handled:

¢ 233 calls

¢ 26 reports

¢ two thefts

¢ four noninjury accidents

¢ one injury accident

¢ Lawrence Police late Thursday investigated a possible armed robbery in the 4000 block of Overland Drive, an emergency dispatcher said. According to dispatch communication, police began to search the apartment at 10:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a subject with guns possibly running inside a residence. As officers continued to investigate, no additional information was available Thursday.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 41-year-old Lawrence man reported $1,500 in criminal damage to a vehicle between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 in the 100 block of Indian Avenue.

¢ A 24 year-old Kansas University student reported the theft of $2,779 in items, including 175 CDs. The items were stolen between Sept. 6 and Sept. 7 from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Louisiana.

¢ A 29-year-old Eudora woman reported the theft of $3,300 in items, including a laptop computer and digital camcorder. The items were stolen between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 from a vehicle in the 1200 block of East 23rd Street.

¢ A 45-year-old Lawrence woman reported a 1995 Red Mercury Villager was stolen Monday in the 700 block of Maine.

¢ A 55-year-old woman reported the theft of about 23 gallons of gas worth $70 from Kwik Shop, 3440 W. Sixth St. The theft happened Sept. 7.

¢ A 27-year-old man reported the theft of about 3 gallons of gas worth $10.14 from Kwik Shop/Phillips 66, 1000 23rd St. The theft occurred Sept. 7.
