A 19-year-old Lawrence woman has been arrested on suspicion she shot an 18-year-old woman shortly before 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Eldridge Street.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, but a condition update wasn’t available Friday. Police said the two women were acquaintances but would not comment about a possible motive.

Nicole Ann Livingston was booked into the Douglas County Jail on Friday morning on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. She had not been formally charged Friday, and prosecutors were still reviewing police reports.

Livingston was expected to have a bond hearing this weekend.
