Gould Evans supports hurricane-hit firms

Gould Evans Associates, an architectural design firm with roots in Lawrence, has established a Web site to help coordinate services that could help rebuild New Orleans and areas of the Gulf Coast ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Architecture, engineering and design firms can click on the site – http://katrina.gouldevans.com – to post resources they’d be willing to share with similar operations that have been displaced by the storm.

Gould Evans, which has Lawrence offices at 700 Mass., already has posted its willingness to open its doors in San Antonio, Tampa and Kansas City, Mo.

“Many Gulf Coast : firms will need help as they begin to rebuild,” principals David Evans and Bob Gould said Wednesday, on behalf of the firm’s 17 principals. “They will look to firms who have resources to share – work space, computers, phones (a corner of our offices) and support for their families.”
