Haskell trounces Trinity, 50-0

September 4, 2005

— Kaleb Harris threw for three touchdowns, and Marcus Benally ran for two scores as Haskell Indian Nations University thumped Trinity Bible College, 50-0, Saturday in the football opener for both teams.

Harris, a sophomore quarterback, threw two scoring passes to Hunter Smith and another to Cody Wilson. Randy Cozad added a 37-yard field goal.

Defensive back Cory Murphy had a pair of interceptions, and had two punt return touchdowns called back because of penalties.

"We had too many penalties," Haskell coach Eric Brock said, "but other than that it was pretty clean."
