Navy Airman Teal M. Mitts, daughter of Tim and Anita Mitts, Lawrence, recently graduated from basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Chicago. She is stationed aboard the USS Tarawa in San Diego. Mitts attended McLouth Grade School and Perry Middle School before graduating from high school in 2002 in West Plains, Mo.
