Commerce Bank shifts operations in Lawrence
Commerce Bank’s mortgage and commercial loan operations are heading west.
Four employees who handle such work for the bank are moving from the Commerce branch at 955 Iowa to the bank’s branch in west Lawrence, at 1500 Wakarusa Drive. The move becomes effective Monday.
“Our Iowa Street location has grown too small for our departments,” said Mark Heider, president for Commerce in Lawrence. “We’re excited that the move will accommodate our present needs and give us room to grow in the future.”
The move is part of a reshuffling that will allow for remodeling at 955 Iowa. Commerce has been in Lawrence for nearly 40 years, and today has six branches in town.
