Kansas defender Gault named to Big 12 anniversary soccer team

Kansas University junior defender Holly Gault was named to the Big 12 Conference’s 10th-anniversary soccer team, as selected by the league’s head coaches and announced Wednesday.

Gault, a Spring Hill native, has collected nine goals and 12 assists during her two-plus years at KU. This season, Gault has started all 18 matches and scored three goals while contributing a career-high six assists.

In order to be eligible for consideration, former athletes must have been named All-Big 12 First Team at least once in their careers. Similar teams will be chosen for each conference sport during 2005-06 in celebration of the Big 12’s 10th anniversary.
