HINU players honored

Two Haskell Indian Nations University players earned weekly Central States Football League after the Fightin’ Indians’ 36-0 victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God U. on Saturday.

Marcus Benally, a 5-foot-7, 180-pound running back from Shiprock, N.M., was named offensive player of the week after rushing for 90 yards in 18 carries and a touchdown.

Jordan Ross, a 6-foot, 185-pound freshman from Salina, Okla., was named special-teams player of the week after averaging 45.0 yards on four punts.
