Salt Lake City Kansas University's two remaining representatives in the ITA Central Regional Tennis Championships were eliminated from the consolation singles bracket Saturday. KU's Christine Skoda fell to Kansas State's Jessica Simosa, 6-4, 6-3, and Elizaveta Avdeeva lost to Arkansas State's Marina Engelbrecht, 6-2, 6-3.
"Overall, I thought this tournament went pretty well," KU coach Amy Hall-Holt said. "We had some pretty impressive highlights this week. This was a very competitive tournament, and hopefully all of our girls will gain from playing these quality opponents."
