Increasing clouds this afternoon could mean a chance for some rain.

There is a 40 percent chance for rain after noon today, the National Weather Service reports.

At 7:40 a.m., the temperature in Lawrence was 42 degrees, with a dew point of 37 and a relative humidity of 85 percent.

According to 6News Weather, temperatures are expected to warm up to 60 degrees. Expect winds to come out of the north at 8 to 15 mph. Temperatures will drop to 40 degrees tonight.

The National Weather Service says the weather will continue to stay cool on Sunday with a temperature high of 52 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
