Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Several Lawrence Police cars late Sunday night converged on the 700 block of Lauren Street in North Lawrence after an officer radioed for help. An officer also reported being involved in a foot chase and reported an attempt to steal his car. Details were unavailable and it was unclear who the officer was but police appeared to have gathered around a Kansas Highway Patrol car. Police were still investigating at the scene at 11:45 p.m.
