Two Topekans and a Lawrence student have placed in the Real Girls, Real Women contest sponsored by Girl Scouts of America.

Julia Garcia, a junior in Topeka, won top honors for demonstrating the three C’s of Girl Scouts: courage, confidence and character.

Carrie Burgoon, senior from Topeka, and Taylor Eubanks, a junior in Lawrence, placed fourth, according to the Girl Scouts of Kaw Valley Council.
