Washburn upends NW Missouri

? Connor Sabel kicked a 23-yard field goal with four seconds left, giving Washburn a 31-28 victory Saturday over Northwest Missouri State.

Northwest Missouri (5-2 overall, 4-1 MIAA) had tied the game at 28 on an 11-yard run by Xavier Omon with 1:31 left.

Washburn (6-1, 4-0) led 14-6 at halftime on TD runs of seven and three yards by Trent Hearn, who finished with 107 yards rushing.

Josh Lamberson threw an 18-yard TD pass to E.J. Falkner and a 48-yard scoring pass to Kendall Wright to put the Bearcats up 21-14 after three quarters.
