K-State to hold planning, management workshop

? A workshop that prepares aging adults and/or their caregivers for retirement will take place on Oct. 27 in Colby, Kan. and Oct. 28 in Phillipsburg, Kan.

Full Circle: An Aging Expo is sponsored and arranged by Kansas State University Research and Extension.

The Oct. 27 workshop will be held at the Colby United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will be repeated at the Huck Boyd Foundation in Phillipsburg at the same times Oct. 28.

“Retirement and Estate Planning,” “Nutrition and Arthritis,” “Dealing with the Holidays,” and “Prescription Drug Plans,” are just a few of the numerous topics that will be discussed. A resource exhibit will also be held in conjunction with the workshop.

The pre-registration fee is $15 per person, or $25 for two family members, due Friday. Fees will cover snacks, lunch, and program materials. Checks can be made payable to “Managing for the Future” and mailed to the K-State Research and Extension Rawlings County Extension Office at 406 State Street, Atwood, 67730.

Registration also is welcome at the door for $20 per person, however, lunch is not guaranteed.
