The day is starting out quite chilly but should contain lots of pleasant fall sunshine going into the end of the weekend.

According to 6News Weather, temperatures will warm to the 60s under mostly sunny skies, with winds out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

At 8 a.m., the temperature in Lawrence hovered below the 40-degree mark yet, with a relative humidity of 92 percent.

Those with Columbus Day off tomorrow can expect to enjoy much the same conditions, with clouds and rain not forecasted to move into the area until late Monday or Tuesday.
