Struggling Baker faces mighty Vikes

? Prospects for Baker University posting its first football victory of the season today appear slim.

The winless Wildcats must play Missouri Valley, and the Vikings are ranked No. 17 in this week’s NAIA poll.

Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m. at Gregg-Mitchell Field on the Missouri Valley University campus.

Missouri Valley (4-1 overall, 3-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference) features the league’s top-ranked defense and leading rusher.

The Vikings, coming off a 43-3 romp over Avila, have won four in a row since opening with a 51-48 loss to Evangel.

MVU’s defense surrenders 276 yards a game and 70.2 yards rushing to lead the HAAC.

MVU’s Ralph Volcin, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound junior, leads the conference with an average 159.8 yards rushing.
