Kanwaka Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Aliene and David Bieber. Mary Ann Strong will give a lesson on “Protecting Your Nest Egg.” Charlene Winter will give a presentation on “People TALK: Enhancing Your Relationships.”

¢ India Family and Community Education unit will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Deal Six Auditorium at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds. Hostess will be Genny Hunsinger. The lesson will be “Sauce It Up.”

¢ Douglas County Family and Community Education, in cooperation with K-State Research & Extension Family and Consumer Sciences, is offering a program “Sauce It Up” at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Deal Six Auditorium at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St. The program will be presented by Lola Ford and Freida Martin, Vinland FCE volunteer leaders.

They will demonstrate how to make sauces using items commonly kept in the kitchen. The presentation will include how to turn vegetables, fruits, breads and other items into easy-to-make flavor meals.
